First Post

So this is my first post.  Just to give you an idea of what I am trying to do with this blog.  I am just going to blog about things on my mind or think about or opinions.  I am a big sports guy so I will often blog about something really "grinds my gears."  I may post something to do with music or music education as I find them.  This is really a blog about anything.  Just a place, sort of, for me to rant if you will.

In my first blog post have decided to start a bucket list.  I have not seen the movie yet, but there are many things I would like to do before I kick the bucket.  I am very young and have, hopefully, a lot of time ahead of me so why not set some goals now and work toward them.  My list thus far after roughly an hour of thinking is as follows:

• Own a boat
• run a restaurant
• See the Grand Canyon
• Drink wine in Napa Valley
• Restore my fathers truck (50's Ford F100)
• Plan a long distance trip by motorcycle
• Write a book
• Build the ultimate man cave

Looking at my list thus far I have realized one thing.  I will need a lot of money to make these things happen.  I currently do not have a job, but I am in the process of searching.  Once I get a job I want to set aside a little bit of my pay to put towards my retirement so I have something to fall back on when I am older.  It seems like a good move to me in the long run, but I really need to find a job.  It's going to be tough since I am a full time student however this is my last full semester for my undergrad degree.  I am excited to see what my future holds and hope that as I go I can cross some of these items off.
